Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice Granola

This easy-to-make granola is so much tastier than store bought granola and costs a fraction of the price. The sweetness of the brown sugar is accented with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg to help you start your morning off right.

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice Granola
  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • 4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • ½ cup chopped almonds
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Mix oats, sugar, nuts, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in a large bowl.
  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter
  • In a large microwave safe measuring cup, melt butter on high, about 1 minute.
  • ½ cup honey
  • Pour honey into measuring cup with melted butter and stir to combine. Pour into bowl with oats and sugar.
  • Transfer mixture onto a rimmed baking sheet or a 9x13 baking dish. Bake at 325°F until toasted and golden brown, about 20 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack.
  • ½ cup raisins
  • ½ cup golden raisins
  • Once cool, break up any large pieces and transfer to a large container with an airtight lid. Add raisins and stir to combine.
