Apple Granola Tart

Fresh apples are combined with sugar and granola to create a simple and delicious dessert.

  • Serves 4 to 6
Apple Granola Tart
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Generously grease an 8x8 baking dish with butter.
  • 6 apples, Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, or Rome
  • Peel apples and cut up apples into 3/4-inch pieces. Place apples in a medium bowl.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Add sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon to bowl with apples. Toss until apples are well coated.
  • Transfer apple mixture to prepared baking dish.
  • 2 cups granola (without dried fruit)
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • Combine granola, sugar, flour, and salt in a small bowl. Spread mixture over apples.
  • Bake at 350°F until apples have baked through and are soft, about 35 to 40 minutes.
  • Remove from oven an let cool on a wire rack for 15 minutes and serve.
