Simple Marinara Sauce
If you want to ditch store bought spaghetti sauce and are looking for simple, easy recipe to make your own homemade sauce, then look no further. This recipe can be made in the microwave and the results are delicious.

- Makes enough for 1 pound pasta
- 28 ounce can Italian stewed tomatoes
- 28 ounce can tomato sauce
- Mix the stewed tomatoes and the tomato sauce together in a large microwave-safe bowl with a lid. Stir well. Cook in the microwave on high for 20 minutes until bubbling.
- 12 ounce can of tomato paste
- 1 ½ tablespoons sweet basil, or to taste
- 1 ½ tablespoons oregano, or to taste
- 1 ½ tablespoons sugar, or to taste
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- Add tomato paste, basil, oregano, sugar, pepper, and salt. Stir well to combine.
- Cook in the microwave on medium for 15 minutes.
- 16 ounces pasta
- Cook pasta according to package directions for al-dente. Drain pasta and add to sauce. Stir well and serve.
